Client Hub’s QuickBooks Integration Just Got a Major Upgrade

Say goodbye to tedious transaction reviews! Client Hub’s new Books Review feature simplifies how accountants spot and resolve QuickBooks Online data inconsistencies—all within Client Hub. This beta feature is automatically activated for QuickBooks connected workspaces, so you can start using it right away.

What is the Books Review Feature?

Think of Books Review as your QuickBooks data quality control hub. You’ll find it in the Firm-only section of the Clients & Workspaces page—exclusive to firm users. Its mission? Spot and fix transaction errors fast, reducing manual reviews and cleanup work.

Key Features in Version 1: Smarter Transaction Reviews

Books Review acts like an extra set of eyes on your QuickBooks data, helping you catch common errors before they become bigger issues. Here’s what it tackles:

  • Expense Inconsistencies – Flags expenses miscategorized compared to past vendor transactions, ensuring consistency in financial reporting.
  • Purchases Without Payee – Highlights expenses missing a vendor/payee, making it easier to maintain complete and accurate records.
  • Purchases and a Parent Account – Catches transactions posted to parent accounts instead of sub-accounts, improving the accuracy of financial statements.
  • Large Transactions – Identifies expenses over $2,500, allowing firms to monitor for potential fraud and maintain better cash flow oversight (a future update will allow firms to set a custom threshold.)

How to Connect QuickBooks Online

Getting started is simple:

  1. Go to Setup & Settings > QuickBooks Integration in Client Hub.
  2. Follow the prompts to connect your QuickBooks account.
